Just came across the Muncie Chapter. I'm brand new and I live about 10 -15mins from Muncie and was interested in possibly getting in on a few of your practices to learn how the game is played and pretty much to get better. I'm 23 years old and work 2 jobs so I may have a hard time making it out but I'm sure I can make it sometimes. I have no Garb and I'd like to get some and learn the rules on what garb is legal and not legal in the game. And I've already got a few weapons made so far.

Have you been to dagorhir.com? They have a pretty good example of acceptable garb.
Weapons are more tricky. They'd have to be checked. I remember my first weapon hit like a load of bricks, and was disallowed on sight. And I thought I had followed the tutorials perfectly.
Unfortunetly, I'm not in Muncie right now. I don't know if anyone is for that matter (most of us are college students who are just there during the school year). You might try sending a message to Zalos, he's the realm leader. But he also like never checks the boards...so I dunno. Do you have facebook? If so get on there and send me a message (David Hamilton) and I'll try to get you in touch with him.

Garb is not so much an issue as your weapon safety. if they are up to standards and so forth. dagorhir.com is a good place as loki has said, to start. as for practices this summer, no one is in muncie to run them lol. Im attending mittelmarch practices for the summer: www.mittelmarch.com

Hey Zeroek, Welcome to Stormhaven! It is great to have new people interested. Unfortunatly I am also currently not in Muncie, but I will be back come August when school starts. For weapons I have to disagree with the guys. You DO NOT want to try and make your own weapon until you have seen and fought some good weapons. As far as garb goes you can make it as simple or complicated as you want really. For first time simple cheap garb I suggest scrubs. You can get them at Wal-mart for reasonably cheap and stitch some trim around the neck and sleves. POOF. Average to Good newbie garb. Oh yeah… there is an event coming up in Terre Haute, my home town. It is called “Battle on the Bash”. (link with information -->) munciedag.proboards53.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=other&thread=166&page=1 You should come (preferably in garb of some sort). It would be a great chance for you to see and use real weapons as well as meeting some people who really love the sport. PS. You can also find me on facebook, Cortney Koerner. (I am in Davids friends it shouldn't be too had to locate me.)

So far I've actually made some weapons by the tutorials. Camping pads from Walmart and pvc pipe. As for the garb I'm completely confused on what's legal to use and what is not. I would much rather bye some garb than make it. I figured you guys would be able to lead me in the right direction lol. I live around this area so when you guys have to go back to school I'll still be around.
