This summer, we're planning to have at least one practice through the week, then carpool to Indy for Mittelmarch practices on Saturday. We'll hold the primary practice each week off campus at Heekin or McCulloch park, so it's closer to our small (but awesome!) local contingent.
Who will be here for the Summer Practices?

There are two large parks (Heekin and McCulloch) and four smaller parks not far from campus. I've only been to one of the small ones, and I doubt the others will have what we're looking for in a battlefield. Alric

Ok. well me having no car this summer would need rides to said locations.

I'm sure we'll have no trouble arranging that.
If the demand is high enough, I'm sure we could have two practices each week. One on campus, and one at the park.

I drove by Westside Park today, and it has a nice area we could use. I'd still prefer one of the larger parks, but as an alternate location, or a second practice location, Westside is just fine.

There was a large contingent of local, high-school fighters who didn't join us this year. From what I can tell, that's because no one stayed in contact with them to let them know when practices were this fall.
At least one of them has already expressed interest in coming back out, and if the others share her interest, it would be easier if the practice were off-campus. Not only would it be closer to them, we wouldn't need to worry about having non-students fighting on campus.
Also, I'm hoping we'll be ready to host an LBTL Monthly Battle in October, and if we don't have club status yet, we won't be able to host anything on campus. Fighting in a park gets around this concern.
Besides, who doesn't like woods battles?

Trip on roots, get stabbed by bushes. Bleh, open field for me. As for the highschool people, the ones we fought with before summer last year?

I don't remember if any of them came out to campus...they had been to my places (on Everbrook and Neely) to build weapons and learn the game.
I haven't really heard anything from them...moving the practices off campus could wait until more of them express an interest in coming out. And then actually do start coming out.
Do the people who will be here for the summer know their schedules yet? Who all is that? Zalos, (Shaun), and who else?

i'm good for like every other saturday, but i can definitely come on mondays or fridays. i say let's do it on mondays, becasue i want to get some more friends coming, and they will be more likely to come on mondays. so 3:30, on mondays. Sound good? and where will we meet? i'm living south of the student center, and i would like to meet on campus (there is free parking on riverside for any non bsu-people who want to fight). I would rather meet somewhere other than noyer field, if only for the fact that there is no shade. I think the quad might be a good place. there's plenty of room, some open field areas and shaded areas, close to where people can park, and by 3:30 the CKCamp will not be out there in full force (as they are during the day).
Other ideas?

I like that little park area over by the quad. huge area and lots of shade, sounds like the best. 3:30 on monday sounds good, what time on saturday? 1 or 2?

I was out there, didnt see ya.
However i have a problem now. I forgot i work mondays from 4 to 7. so we can change the day to friday or keep it monday and have a late practice at 7. Its summer so 7 really isnt that late, its not even dark at that time. and the heat of the day should be parly boiled off by that time.
